LAUSD’s Arts Education Branch will present the 1st Annual Family Arts Summit on Saturday, April 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon at the Cortines School for Visual and Performing Arts (450 North Grand Ave.).

Stop by with family and friends for this free event  showcasing student performers!  Attendees will also be able to participate in workshops and listen to informative speakers.

All are invited to the  Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood Area Senior Lead Officer Summit, which will be held on Tuesday, April 24, at 6:30 p.m. at the Chinese Theatres (6801 Hollywood Blvd.).

The summit will bring together community  members and key stakeholders to engage in dialogue designed to prioritize important problems unique to the Hollywood division.

To celebrate its 85th birthday, Grauman’s Chinese Theater is not only turning back the clock, but also the cash register.   The theater is introducing “25 Cent Movie Mondays” where guests are able to see different classic films that have premiered at Grauman’s for only a quarter.

The offer is valid only on four Mondays throughout April and May and will include screenings such as Breakfast at Tiffany’s, The King and I, and Hells Angels.
