Legislative Deputy

Guy serves as Councilmember Garcetti’s chief floor deputy and liaison to other Councilmembers and their staff.   He also works on issues related to energy and the environment.

Prior to joining the Garcetti office, Guy served as a Legislative Aide handling energy and environment issues for Congressmember Tom Lantos, who represented parts of the San Francisco Bay Area. He also helped Congressmember Lantos establish the Bipartisan Congressional Task Force Against Anti-Semitism as a permanent arm of the Congressional Human Rights Caucus.

Hailing from Los Angeles’s westside, Guy happily returned from Washington, DC, to the West Coast to serve in the communities where he grew up and to enjoy surfing at Los Angeles beaches. He is a graduate of local public schools as well as The George Washington University, where he played on the college’s ice hockey team.
