LADWP Solar FiT Workshop – May 15

May 10th, 2012 — 3:51pm

Councilmember Eric Garcetti invites you to learn about how LADWP’s new Solar Feed-in-Tariff (FiT) Program can work for you! The FiT workshop will take place on Tuesday, May 15 at Councilmember Garcetti’s District Office (5500 Hollywood Blvd. 4th Floor) from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Under the FiT legislation, which Councilmember Garcetti authored, residents and businesses can produce solar energy and sell it back to DWP. This helps DWP become less reliant on fossil fuels, helps lower utility bills and makes solar use more cost-effective, and will help Los Angeles reach its state mandated goal of getting 33% of its energy from renewable sources by 2020.

The 10 MW Solar Feed-in-Tariff (FiT) Demonstration Program will be accepting applications from May 17 through June 29. To learn more about the program, stop by Tuesday evening!

To RSVP, please email Guy Lipa at guy.lipa@lacity.org.
